Fat and Lazy

Recently we took a trip to the Disney Parks in Orlando. It never ceases to amaze me how lazy American parents have become. I am simply awe-struck at the number of parents pushing around children that sometimes look upwards of double digit years. My philosophy is if the child can ask to be put in a stroller, it is problem time to donate it.

I am not sure which is worse, the lazy parents pushing around their lazy children or the fat people wheeling around in their fat ass mobile thrones. If these fat people would walk perhaps they would not be fat? Just a thought …

What the hell is, "Fixed Income?"

The other day I was listening to radio during my morning commute and a commercial for Health Insurance came on. They were directing their sales pitch to towards what they called “fixed income.” For the longest time this term has confused me. The last time I looked I was “fixed income.” I do not earn a living off commission sales, my bi-weekly pay check rarely waivers.

It is annual enrolment at work and my health insurance is going up over 100% for 2008. Where do I sign up for my fixed income discount?

Americans ...

So … today I was approached by a neighbor asking why I had a group of “Iranians” at my house a few weeks ago. This was pretty upsetting to me. The “Iranians” he spoke of are several young Indian men that work for me in the computer industry. I had an appreciation get together for my contractors at my house. This person that approached me stated the neighbors were concerned. Just goes to show how ignorance runs rampant and people fear the unknown.

These men that work with me and for me are people with moral fiber as high as any American I know. They are hard workers, well educated, multi-lingual and despite popular belief they are not Muslim. Most are Catholic, yes, I said Catholic or Hindu. They abstain from pre-marital sex, divorce is almost unheard of, and their family units are very strong and supportive. Can this be said for “Americans?”

So before you pass judgment on someone, please do a little research.

So when is this election, exactly?

Even though I have only been able to vote since the '92 election, it appears that each year, the hoopla starts earlier and earlier. I used to think Christmas items on display in August were disgusting, but the election hoopla 2 years prior to election ...
